Introduction
Mr. Qin started training
Qigong and kung-fu when he was 10 years old. At the age of 16, he entered
shun-shang Shaolin temple which has 1500 years of history. After years of
training at the temple, he received the honor of 34th generation highest
instructor of Shaolin kung-fu. While training a Shaolin temple, he also studied
Qigong methods of other schools. At the end, he had mastered over 100 kinds of
Qigong practice method and illness curing methods.
Despite his high status
at the temple, he left for Japan in 1993 as a guest researcher of ceramics
backed up by the Chinese government. He was engaged in research of ceramics in
the Tokyo University. As he spent time in Japan as a researcher, he had realized
that "although people's life here is materially rich with the developed economy
and science technology, in the inside many people are having serious problems
both mentally and physically. He felt that it was his mission to transmit the
techniques and soul of Shaolin temple, and wished as many people could use the
skill to improve quality of their life in Japan. In 1994, he obtained permission
of Shaolin temple and established the All Japan Shaolin Temple Qigong
Association.
He also established Qigong instructor training course as to
meet the increasing demand in Japan to learn more deep and essential Qigong. In
this program, with the permission of the dean of Shaolin temple, students can
learn the Qigong method of Shaolin temple that was kept secret until then.
Students in the program have various purposes and backgrounds. Some students aim
to be instructors, and some aim for self-improvements Some students are already
Qigon practitioner in Japan, and some has no prior knowledge of Qigong. In this
April, the program entered its tenth term, and the new students are studying
eagerly.
In the year of 2000, he succeeded in the tooth extraction operation
by Qigong anesthesia for the first time in the world. This situation was
introduced at the Japanese Dentistry Eastern Medicine Society and the United
States Dentistry Aesthetics Society, and obtained high evaluation.
Now, Mr.
Qin teaches in many Qigong and martial arts classes, and providing medical
treatment services mainly by the headquarters of Tokyo. He is also working
energetically in writing books, giving lectures, and giving Qigong instructions
on TV.
About the Shaolin
Temple Qigong
The Shaolin Temple Qigong has been
practiced, together with Kungfu, as a way of training for monks at Songshan
Shaolin Temple in China. It is based on the mind of Zen and the spirit of the
martial arts. Its extensive effects include promoting health, curing illness,
enhancing beauty, losing weight, and developing potential abilities.
The
secret essence of the Shaolin Temple Qigong has been handed down only to the
selected disciples, and its ultimate goal is to reach a level even higher than
people could imagine.
Qin Xiping, the 34th Highest Instructor of the Shaolin
Temple, has established a unique method of training based on the Shaolin Temple
Qigong, after studying and interchanging with different types of Chinese Qigong.
This method enables people from all walks of life to follow the program easily
and effectively.
The greeting message from Dr. Qin to everybody.
Why do you want to train in Qigong or martial arts? If your
purpose is to become physically and spiritually strong, our "Shaolin qigong" can
help you.
If you want to become physically and
spiritually strong, and maintain your strength against ageing, physical training
is not sufficient. The concept "Qigong " here is essential. In other words, the
combination of "martial arts" and "Qigong" can enable us to maintain health and
enhance our strength.
Although I have the title of the 34th generation
of master instructors of the SongShan Shaolin Temple, I first came to Japan
as a Chinese official researcher of ceramics at Tokyo University; it
had nothing to do with my title above. As I stayed in Japan, I gradually noticed
that many of the Japanese people, though living in such a prosperous country,
have many problems physically or spiritually and they are in search of the way
to solve them. While studying at the university, I was sometimes asked to teach
Qigong and treat illnesses. As I went through such experiences, I came to think
that I should introduce the Shaolin training method in order to help Japanese
society.
I love Japan. I feel that it is may mission to introduce the
spirit and the technique of Shaolin Temple. I was convinced that I was the only
person capable of introducing the essence of the Shaolin Temple and bring it to
Japan. I decided to stay in Japan in spite of the important duty assigned to me
by the Chinese Government.
I established the All Japan Shaolin Temple
Qigong Association in 1994 after being granted permission from the Shaolin
Temple. At the beginning, I taught just the basics of Qigong; however, as time
past, I noticed that people wanted to learn more deeply to understand the
essential qualities of Qigong. In response, I made a special "Qigong Instructor
Training Course", which enables students to acquire in two and a half years what
takes ten years in the Shaolin Temple. This curriculum encompasses all the
essential qualities of the Shaolin Temple Qigong and is recognized by the
Shaolin Temple. In the curriculum with the permission by the Dean of Shaolin
Temple, I teach the Qigong which has previously only been transmitted within the
Shaolin Temple.
The concept of "Qi" is related to Cosmic Theory. I
studied "Qi" from the view point of Cosmic Physics and Human Body Science and
wrote a thesis on it. In the Qigong Instructor Training Course mentioned above,
I give lectures on it as a new Qigong theory.
The people who come to this
association have various background and purposes; some want to cure illness,
some to maintain health, to develop ones potential abilities, to become
instructors, etc. When you hear the word "Qigong", you may think it is mainly
for senior people. However, the Shaolin Temple Qigong also attracts young
people, as it is based on forms of martial arts and appears very "cutting
edge".
The Shaolin Temple Qigong has been developed and transmitted by
the important masters throughout the 1500 years of the temple's history. Its
basic idea is "the mind of Zen, the body of Wu (martial arts)". Its amazing
effects on the mind and body have been proven by many people who practice it.
In the association, you can learn these methods, while feeling relaxed and
at ease. I hope that you can experience what I can offer through the 30years of
training qigong and martial arts, and the 20 years of teaching and healing
experiences I have.
I am sure that you will find yourself happier and
healthier.
